Lamar CISD Accreditation Status

Per House Bill 1 of the 79th Texas Legislature, all Texas school districts are accredited based on their performance under the state academic accountability and financial rating systems. Districts that meet or exceed the expectations for student and financial performance -- as defined by the commissioner -- are considered as being ‘Accredited’. Districts that fail to meet these one or both of these expectations would be considered as ‘Accredited-Warned’ or ‘Accredited-Probation’, per Texas Education Code 39.051 and 39.052.

Currently Lamar CISD meets and exceeds the Commissioner's academic and financial requirements and was considered Accredited with a Financial Integrity Rating System of Texas (FIRST) rating of A (Superior Achievement).
