Athletic Information

2024-2025 Briscoe Athletic Dates  

All 7th and 8th grade students interested in major sports must complete online RankOne Sport forms and turn in a 2024-2025 sports physical.  All forms can be found below.

Briscoe Athletics

The coaching staff here at Briscoe Jr High is excited and thrilled to have the opportunity to coach your son/daughter for the 2024-25 school year. We will strive to make this year an enjoyable learning experience. Below is some information that will assist you as you begin your journey into Eagle Athletics:

Important Dates

ALL students interested in Major Sports must complete the online RankOne sports forms and turn in a 2024-25 sports physical by August 14, 2024.

        Football/Volleyball Equipment Check Out- First week of school
* Students will be issued athletic equipment
* (7th Grade) Coaches will collect a copy of student’s birth certificate
* (8th Grade) Coaches will collect a current utility bill
* 8th grade students new to the district, campus, or the athletic program will need to bring a copy of your birth certificate and a current utility bill to turn into the coaches.
* Students will receive a flyer to be able to purchase athletic clothes 

Volleyball

Volleyball Tryouts August 14, 2024 thru August 16, 2024
* August 14^th is the 1st day of tryouts

* Tryouts for all three days will go as follows:

7^th Grade Tryouts will be in the morning - 7:30am-9am (doors open at 7:15am)

8^th Grade Tryouts will be in the Afternoon – 4:30pm – 6:00pm (all athletes trying out will be released to gym at 4:15 pm if you are not in 7^th period Athletics)

* Athletes are strongly encouraged to be present for all three tryouts

Football

* After school/before school football practice will begin the second week of school.

Cross Country

* During athletic period beginning the second week of school

All 7th and 8th grade students interested in major sports must complete online RankOne Sport forms and turn in a 2023-2024 sports physical.  All forms can be found below.

It is a UIL/TEA/LCISD requirement that your child has the required forms completed in order to be able to play football, tryout for volleyball, or be enrolled in Major Sports. 

**PHYSICALS AND ONLINE PAPERWORK ARE NEEDED FOR ATHLETIC PARTICIPATION FOR 2023-24**
