LCISD employees who wish to complete a professional internship must complete the following steps:
- Complete the Request Form
- Internship requests are accepted at the beginning of each semester term.
- Submitting all requirements is the responsibility of the intern.
- Internships are not scheduled during summer school.
- You will be contacted by the Human Resources department within 3 to 5 business days via email.
Internship Guidelines
- All interns are required to dress professionally.
- Personal cell phone use during intern activities is prohibited.
- If applicable, follow the campus check in procedures which requires your driver’s license.
- Remember that all student information is confidential.
- You may only intern at the campuses provided to you by the Human Resources contact person. You are not to make requests for other campuses.
- You may not intern in your child’s classroom.
- Approved time frames are by semester and do not extend into another semester.
- The campus administrator has the authority to deny or discontinue requests for internships.
- Respect the students, teachers, classrooms and campuses where you will be assigned to intern.
