Two campus leaders have been named as Lamar CISD prepares for the 2013-2014 school year. Deana Gonzales will lead Jackson Elementary and Eric Nicholie takes the helm at George Jr. High.
Deana Gonzalez graduated from the University of Houston and received her master’s degree from the University of St. Thomas.
Gonzalez has 11 years of experience in education including seven years of teaching experience in Lamar and Alief schools and four years of experience as an assistant principal. Gonzalez served as the 2013 elementary summer school principal and served as assistant principal at Ray Elementary.
Nicholie is a graduate of Hope College in Holland, MI and has his masters from the University of Houston-Victoria.
He was a teacher, coach and assistant principal in Fort Bend ISD for nine years before becoming the principal at Hutchison Elementary when the school opened in 2005. Hutchison was ranked Exemplary five times during his tenure and Nicholie was the 2010 Lamar CISD Elementary Principal of the Year.
