Sixty Lamar CISD students have qualified for national competition after their performance at the Texas Technology Student Association State Competition, held April 9-12 in Waco.
Twenty-five Lamar Consolidated High School students qualified, including Tomisin Alagbe, Rudy Arreguin, Sumaiya Awan, A.J. Ayala, Libby Barker, Jacob Bowman, Andrew Boyer, Gabriel Chaparro, Savannah Garza, Reyes Hernandez, Bradley Humble, Tres Mahadeo, Laniel Ogu, Denalex Orakwue, Hinanshi Patel, Yessenia Portillo, Karlee Rios, Jesse Taylor Rodriguez, Mason Rodriguez, Jesse Segun-Oside, Abir Shukla, Rachel Tankersley, Sarah Tankersley, Isaiah Villaloboz and Storm Webb.
Twenty-one George Ranch High School students are eligible, including Joshua Chavez, Adrian Michel, Miguel Garza, Courtney Le, Juliana Herrera, Zach Matta, Gina Bautista, Camille Saha, Barraq Kannaan, Emmanuel Oskipa, Micha Bullock, Ejeh Okorafor, Mills Lemaire, Michael Mata, Caleb Mittanck, James Poche, Andy Henrici, Charlie Matt, Chris Blanco, Cameron Wheeler, Justin Resnigt, Chritian Vodnik.
Eight Lamar Junior High students qualified for the next level, including Yuxi Lu, Haily Arteaga, Alisha Varshney, Arianna Williams, Wisdom Orakwue, Emmade Rasul, Marcos Ortiz and Charles Bennett.
Four Reading Junior High students qualified, including Will Culpepper, Donald Hunter Duty, Arturo Rodriguez and Hallie Schmitt.
Rachelle Ferguson (Reading), Kristen Rausch (Lamar Consolidated High) Carson Collins (Lamar Junior) and Emily Gresham (George Ranch High) are the sponsors for the four teams.
