Lamar CISD has selected David Pollard to be the District’s next School Safety Coordinator. In his new position, Pollard will ensure all campuses are following best practices in school safety and that all staff and students are prepared for any kind of emergency.
Pollard served eight years with Texas Medical Center, most recently as the Director of Police and Security Operations. Prior to this, Pollard served as a supervisor with the University of Texas Police Department and a safety manager with UT MD Anderson Cancer Center.
He received his undergraduate degree from McLennan Community College and his Peace Officer Certification from the University of Houston.
