At its January meeting, the Lamar CISD Board of Trustees passed a resolution proclaiming February as Black History Month in Lamar CISD.
Black History Month recognizes the rich heritage and significant contributions to our lives by African-Americans.
Lamar CISD recognizes that our schools are in a unique position to share an appreciation of the heritage and accomplishments of African-Americans among children from all races and backgrounds.
Lamar CISD schools will commemorate Black History Month with special activities and observances.
