Lamar CISD artists finished up a successful Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo Art Show, with their works earning a combined total of over $90,000 at the Show’s Art Auction.
Leading the way was Foster High’s Sonali Puri. Her work “Kickin’ up a Storm” brought $27,000 in the auction.
Other students whose work was purchased at the auction were:
• Catherine Law’s “The Long Walk Home”, George Ranch HS, $23,000;
• Megan Tran’s “The Ride Home”, George Ranch HS, $15,000;
• Mathaly Carranza’s “Found Ya!”, Foster HS, $15,000;
• Celeste Ruiz’s “The Heart of Texas”, George Ranch HS, with a final bid of $11,000.
