Seventeen Lamar CISD artists will have their works on display at the 2019 Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo Art Show. These students have all advanced to the next level and will be judged against artists from neighboring districts.
Foster High School’s Sonali Puri won High School Best of Show, with Lamar Consolidated High School’s Olivia Martinez and Foster’s Mathaly Carranza both earning the High School Gold Medal.
Tracy Lam and Rachel Seo will both represent Leaman Junior High at the Rodeo Art Show. Lam won Junior High Best of Show, with Seo earning the Junior High Gold Medal.
Adolphus Elementary School’s Luke Kennedy was the Elementary Best of Show, with Jane Long Elementary School’s Miryn Morales earning the Elementary Gold Medal.
Special Merit awards went to:
George Ranch High School’s Timmy Tran, Celeste Ruiz, Megan Tran, Chloe Tran, Olivia Lorber, Catherine Law and Sophia Behar;
Lamar Consolidated High School’s Chidera Kalaji and Brianna Becerral; and
Terry High School’s Chassidy Chennault.
Lamar CISD will host a District Rodeo Art Show scheduled for March 2 at George Junior High School, 4601 Airport Road, Rosenberg.
