Campbell Elementary was recently honored by the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo for the school's efforts to celebrate Texas Heritage.
In February, the Cougars had a dress Western day, which included a chili cook-off for students and parents, a mechanical bull, BBQ dinner, square dancing and many other activities.
Campbell Elementary was chosen as the winner of the Primary Division, besting more than 300 other applying schools.
