Foster High School’s Emma Shivers is the Texas FFA Champion in the Senior Prepared Public Speaking Animal Science Division.
Shivers will be a junior at Foster. “Gene Editing in Livestock” was the topic of her 8-minute speech. Her final speech was delivered July 12 at the 88th State FFA Convention in Dallas.
Shivers competed at the District 7 FFA Leadership Development Event competition in May in Katy, then at the Area 3 FFA competition in Brenham. She received her award at the 88th annual Texas FFA Convention.
She is also Vice President of the Foster FFA Chapter and President of the District 7 FFA Association.
