The Texas Education agency has recognized Lamar CISD’s Ray Elementary as a High Performance School and High Progress School, making it a Reward School.
Reward Schools are those in the top 5 percent of schools in the state for performance and progress. A high-performing Reward School is a Title I school with distinctions based on reading and math. A high-progress Reward School is a Title I school, in the top 25 percent performance in annual improvement and/or a school in the top 25 percent of those demonstrating ability to close performance gaps based on system safeguards.
Ray Elementary is the only school in Fort Bend County to achieve the acknowledgments as both a High Performance School and High Progress School.
