For her dedication to the Terry High School Ranger football team, Brenda Teykl will be recognized at the Aug. 22 game between the Houston Texans game with the Denver Broncos.

Teykl, the registrar at Terry and the wife of Terry head football coach Tim Teykl is being recognized as a Houston Texans “Play Safe Most Valuable Mom for the 2015 Season.”

She will also be recognized on the field at a future game where she will receive a Texans jersey.

Brenda will also record some of her football experiences for the Texans radio station.

The award asks for the nominated mom to talk about her son’s experience with football.

Brenda’s son, Tyler, played football at Terry, but in reality, Brenda has mothered more than a thousand “sons” over three decades of being married to a football coach.

She takes that responsibility seriously. In almost 40 years, she’s only missed four football games, home or away.

Brenda is in her 17th year at Terry and completing her 39th year as an educator, serving as a coach, teacher, counselor and currently as Terry’s registrar.
