Lamar CISD's Common Threads program, which recycles gently-used clothing for students who would otherwise do without, is in need of volunteers to get ready for the coming school year.
July Dates for Volunteering are:
- July 2, 12:30-5:30 p.m.;
- July 9,10,15,16,17, 12:30-5:30 p.m.;
- July 22-23, 12:30-5:30 p.m.; and
- July 29,30, 12:30-5:30 p.m.
Volunteers are also needed in August, as families come in for their back-to-school clothes. Those days are:
- August 10, 7:30 a.m.-3 p.m.;
- August 13-16, 8:30 a.m.- 3 p.m.; and
- August 19-21, 8:30-3 p.m.
