Traffic seems to be flowing a little better in the morning. Our biggest congestion is the cars coming from Morton League and needing to make a left turn into the drop off area. This line tends to create a big traffic jam at Pitts and Morton League as there are cars coming from 3 directions trying to go south on Pitts. Mr. Jerry will try to give this lane more time to hopefully relieve some of the congestion. We also want to reduce the number of tardies that have occurred due to the slow traffic flow. Leaving a little earlier in the morning will help us to spread out the number of cars coming to drop off. We appreciate your patience as we try to get traffic flowing as smoothly as possible.
This Thursday is “Go Texan Day” here at Austin Elementary School. Students and staff may wear western attire in celebration of the coming of the Fort Bend County Fair. If students choose to not wear western clothing then regular uniform dress will be required. Have a great 3-day weekend and enjoy the Fair or whatever activities you choose to take part in.
Students may start bringing in their Box Tops 4 Education! All Box Tops should be turned in to Mrs. Cantu during the student's PE class. Click HERE for a printable box top form!
