This will be the final version of Astronotes for the 2014-2015 school year.  It has been a great year and the students and teachers have accomplished many great things.  Preliminary STAAR scores look very good for Austin Elementary School.  The tentative passing results are:

3^rd Grade Reading – 98.5%

3^rd Grade Math – No passing standard set

4^th Grade Reading – 96.5%

4^th Grade Writing – 98.9%

4^th Grade Math – No passing standard set

5^th Grade Reading – 98.7%

5^th Grade Science – 92.1%

5^th Grade Math – No passing standard set

We are very proud of our students and teachers for such high performance results on this year’s state testing. 

Michelle Mitchell has been named Volunteer of the Year for our school.  She has been our Volunteer Coordinator in the past and will do so again next year.  Michelle has been a great asset and we look forward to seeing her again next year.  Way to go Michelle and THANK YOU!
