Here’s hoping that the weather will cooperate so that we can have Field Day outside this Friday. Friday is also an early release day for elementary only. Students will be released at 11:30. Fourth grade is still planning on going to Pitts Road Park this Thursday, weather permitting. Students will return to school on Tuesday, May 26th after the Memorial Day holiday. After that, we are down to the last 2 weeks of school.
As this school year winds down, we will begin preparing for next school year. We have added another 3rd grade teacher to accommodate the current large 2nd grade group. We are excited about our two new 3rd grade teachers that are coming to Austin from other LCISD schools. Both teachers will bring experience and new ideas as they become part of the Austin family.
