This Friday is one of our biggest fundraising events. The Fall Carnival has always been a fun time for the students at Austin Elementary School. Adults can also enjoy many of the festivities such as the Silent Auction and great food cooked on site by our master cooking team. The carnival will be from 4:00 to 8:00. This is also an early release day for elementary students who get out at 11:30. Come out with the family and enjoy all of the activities of the carnival.
Next week will be Red Ribbon Week. Each day will have a different theme to encourage students to be “Drug Free”. Monday starts off the week with “Shade out drugs” as students may wear sunglasses. We have “Hats off to being drug free” on Tuesday as students can wear a hat or cap. Wednesday students will be given a red ribbon to wear to unite against bullying and drugs. Thursday will be interesting as I “mustache” you not to do drugs with students wearing a fake mustache or disguise. Finally Friday say “Boo to drugs” by wearing a Halloween Shirt.
With next Friday being Halloween Kindergarten and First Grade will have a number of activities scheduled that relate to the Halloween theme. Come out and be a part of your child’s fun activities.
