The PTO is still actively seeking a Yearbook Coordinator and a Co-Yearbook coordinator. If you like to take pictures and have the ability to upload them to a computer program, we would love to have you join the PTO! We also need a Treasurer Elect to shadow the current member in preparation for the next year. If you are interested, please let us know today, Wednesday, April 9th. Next week is Volunteer Week and we want to be able to recognize and thank all volunteers that help make the school a better place. Some of our volunteers have been serving for more years than I have been at Austin. Others have just begun their service to the school. I will say all of our volunteers are outstanding whether working with our students or helping teachers by preparing materials. Those of you that work with our students, the children really enjoy the extra attention that you provide them. They also get very excited when they become successful in reading or math. Those of you that help teachers by preparing materials for them should know that by doing this you give the teachers more time to prepare and teach the students. Thank you to all of our volunteers!!! We really do appreciate you!!!
