Lamar CISD is home to six student councils named as a National Association of Elementary School Principals (NAESP) Honor Council.
Adolphus Elementary, Dickinson Elementary, Frost Elementary, Ray Elementary, Velasquez Elementary and Williams Elementary were all named to the prestigious list. Out of the many schools across Texas, only 146 are being recognized for this honor.
Each Year NAESP recognizes the outstanding efforts of student councils from across the country with the American Student Council Association Student Excellence Award. This prestigious award has honored excellence in leadership, citizenship and community service since 1987.
